3.) Head home, make a cocktail with your new favorite Carrie’s Merries Mix! Prepare the dip mix included in your box, and enjoy an appetizer with your drink while you wait for the grill to heat up!

4.) Preheat grill. For gas, turn all burners on high for 15 mins. For charcoal, make sure you use enough charcoal to cover the circumference of the grill, keeping in mind the cook time.

5.) Lightly dust pork steaks with dry rub (Also makes a good rim for your Merrie!)

6.) Brown steaks 2-3 mins each side

7.) Transfer the steaks to a pan, douse in the BBQ sauce provided in your box. Turn and coat steaks. Cover the pan with foil and place back on the grill. Turn the burners down to low, and cook for about 90 mins (or until tender). Check after about an hour to see if the sauce if getting to thick o dry, if so add a little bit of water.

Optional: You can turn the grill back up to high and grill for a few minutes on each side if you like the edges a little more charred.

8.) Carefully remove the pan from grill. Remove steaks and place on serving plates,  and skim any excess fat from sauce. Serve sauce on the side.

*You can easily adapt this recipe o the oven by browning the steaks on the stovetop, placing them in roasting pan doused in sauce and cover with tin foil. Cook for about 90 mins at 300 degrees F.

**Make sure internal temperature of pork reaches at least 165 degrees F.
